“I want to create photographs that transmit intensity of emotion - from tears to laughter - that come from silence, from intimacy. The people in my photogrpahs are characters that tell a story. They have a dialogue with me. Later, they provoke a reaction in the viewer. It is a dialogue with the imagination. Through the use of light, selective photographic technique, and a lighthearted apporoch, I bring out emotion and drama in the people and events we capture. Nothing is more important to me than connecting with the people I photograph. Translating thier dreams into tangible poetic images.”
